About us
Who We Are
Tea TV APK is a community-driven entertainment platform built for people who believe great content shouldn’t be locked behind expensive subscriptions, regional restrictions, or clunky interfaces. We’re a small, focused team of developers, designers, and streaming enthusiasts who got tired of paying for five different services just to watch the shows our friends were talking about and decided to build something better.
Since our launch, we’ve grown into one of the most recognized third-party streaming apps in the Android ecosystem, trusted by millions of users across phones, tablets, Android TV boxes, and Amazon Fire devices. Our user base spans over 180 countries, with especially strong communities in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, India, the Philippines, Brazil, and across Europe.
What We Do
Tea TV APK is a free streaming application that aggregates movies, TV series, anime, and documentaries from a wide network of public sources across the web. We don’t host any content ourselves. Instead, our scraper technology continuously indexes and organizes media from third-party hosts, then presents them in a single, clean, easy-to-use interface.
Think of us as a smart search engine for video — one that handles the legwork of finding working streams, matching subtitles, sorting by quality, and organizing everything by season, episode, genre, year, and rating. You search, tap, watch. That’s the entire experience.
We support:
- Tens of thousands of movies spanning every genre, era, and region
- Full TV series with complete season and episode breakdowns
- Anime and animated content with subbed and dubbed options
- Documentaries, foreign films, and indie cinema often missing from mainstream platforms
- Multiple streaming sources per title, so a dead link never ruins your night
Our Mission
We believe entertainment is a basic part of modern life and access to it should be simple, fast, and fair.
Our mission is threefold:
- Democratize access Great stories come from everywhere, and they should reach everyone, regardless of where you live or what you can pay.
- Respect the user No accounts. No tracking. No email lists. No “premium tier” bait-and-switch. You install the app, you watch what you want, you go about your day.
- Build something genuinely good A polished interface, fast performance, and thoughtful features matter. We’re not just throwing links in a list; we’re building a real product.
What Makes Us Different
There are dozens of free streaming apps out there. Here’s why users stick with Tea TV:
- Multiple links per title. We surface 5–15+ alternative sources for every movie and episode. If one fails, another works. No more “link not available” dead ends.
- No registration, ever. Open the app, start watching. We don’t need your email, phone number, or social profile.
- Subtitles that actually work. Auto-fetched from multiple databases, with manual import, sync adjustment, and styling controls.
- Real offline support. Download movies and episodes in your choice of quality. Watch on a plane, a train, or anywhere with no signal.
- External player friendly. Push streams to MX Player, VLC, Kodi, or any player you prefer for better codec and audio support.
- Cross-device compatible. Phones, tablets, Android TV boxes, Firestick, Fire TV — one APK, everywhere.
- Trakt integration (optional). Sign in once, sync your watch history and lists across all your devices and other apps.
- Lightweight. The install is small, the app is fast, and it runs on older hardware without breaking a sweat.
Our Values
Transparency
We’re open about how the app works. We don’t host content. We don’t sell user data. We don’t bury dark patterns in the UI. What you see is what you get.
Privacy
No account means no user database. No login means no behavioral tracking tied to your identity. We collect the minimum data needed to keep the service running and never share it with third parties. The app requests only the permissions it genuinely needs.
Quality Over Quantity
A library of 50,000 titles is meaningless if half the links are broken. We invest heavily in source verification, automated link health monitoring, and a community-driven reporting system that helps us retire bad sources fast.
User-First Development
Feature priorities are driven by what users actually ask for, not what’s easiest to build. Our roadmap is shaped by community feedback, GitHub issues, and real-world usage patterns.
Independence
We’re not backed by a media conglomerate, an ad network, or a venture capital firm with a quarterly growth target. We’re a self-sustaining project, which means we can focus on users instead of investors.
Our Team
We’re a distributed team spread across multiple time zones developers in Eastern Europe, designers in Southeast Asia, support staff in Latin America and the US. We’ve never met in person, and most of us have been working together for years.
We’re a mix of open-source contributors, former media-industry workers who got disillusioned, and self-taught engineers who just love building tools people use every day. None of us are in this to get rich. We’re in it because the alternative is paying $80 a month for fragmented streaming services that all cancel each other’s best shows.
Our Community
The Tea TV community is one of our proudest achievements. Tens of thousands of active users contribute to the ecosystem through:
- Source reporting flagging broken links and surfacing new working ones
- Subtitle contributions uploading translations and timing fixes
- Feature requests telling us what to build next
- Troubleshooting help answering questions in forums, Reddit, and Telegram groups
- Localization translating the app interface into 30+ languages
If you’ve ever wondered whether your voice matters as a user, in our community it absolutely does. Several of our best features started as user suggestions in forum threads.
A Note on Legality
We want to be upfront: Tea TV APK is a third-party streaming aggregator. We do not host, upload, or store any media files. All content is sourced from external, publicly accessible hosts on the open web, accessed through standard protocols.
The legality of streaming varies by country. We encourage users to understand the laws in their jurisdiction. Our role is to provide a tool that organizes and presents publicly available information; what users do with that tool is their own responsibility.
We respect copyright holders and believe creators should be fairly compensated. We simply believe the current distribution system is broken and until it’s fixed, we’ll keep building tools that put users first.
Looking Ahead
We’re not slowing down. Current and upcoming work includes:
- Better source diversity expanding into more reliable streaming hosts
- Improved recommendation engine smarter “what to watch next” suggestions based on viewing patterns
- Enhanced TV interface smoother 10-foot UI for big screens
- Stronger download management smarter auto-cleanup, scheduling, and bandwidth controls
- More language support both for content and the app interface
- Lighter, faster builds ongoing performance work to reduce load times and memory usage
